Police looking for witnesses of St. Catharines gas station robbery

The Niagara Regional Police Service is appealing for witnesses after a robbery at a gas station kiosk in St. Catharines Tuesday night.

Police were called to the kiosk in the area of Glenridge Ave. near Riverview Blvd. around 11:02 p.m. where they spoke with two store clerks who reported that two suspects had entered the store, demanding money from the cash register.

Investigators say one of the employees was physically assaulted by a suspect and sustained minor injuries.

Both suspects fled on foot southbound on Glenridge Ave. with an undisclosed amount of Canadian currency.

Investigation has led to the discovery of a third suspect that police say stood in the doorway and watched as the other two suspects entered. Descriptions of the two who entered the store have been released by police.

Suspect one is described as a Black male between the ages of 20 and 25-years-old, five-foot-ten, around 165 pounds, wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up, a black mask covering his face and black gloves.

Suspect two is described as a black male between the ages of 20 and 25-years-old, five-foot-nine and around 145 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black sweatshirt with the hood up, a black mask and black gloves.

Home and business-owners in the area are asked to review surveillance footage from Tuesday night and contact the lead detective at 905-688-4111, option 3, extension 1009412 with any relevant information.
