Police looking for a man after a Thorold teen was grabbed from behind

Niagara police are looking for a man after a 13-year-old boy was grabbed from behind and wrapped by the man’s arms.

It happened around 6:45 p.m. Wednesday evening. The boy was walking with his scooter in the area of Clara Street and Taylor Street in Thorold.

The boy struggled, struck the man with his scooter, and fled.

He was not hurt during the attack.

The man is described as being aged between 50 and 60 years old with a shaggy moustache, sunglasses and a grey mesh hat.

A black truck was also seen in the area at the time of the incident that may or may not be linked.

Anyone with information into this incident is asked to contact police.
