Halton police are hoping the public can help identify a pair of thieves who broke into several vehicles in Oakville.
Police were alerted to multiple vehicle entries in the area of Melvin Ave. and Chartwell Rd. around 4:30 a.m. on Jan. 6.
Investigators say a wallet containing bank cards was stolen from one of the vehicles.
The cards were then used to make fraudulent purchases at several convenience stores in Etobicoke along Lakeshore Blvd. West where the suspects were captured on camera.
Both are described as white and were wearing black masks. The first suspect was also wearing glasses, a blue and black winter jacket with a black hooded shirt underneath, black pants and black and white shoes. The second was wearing a black hooded jacket, black pants and black shoes.
Police believe the suspects may also be connected to a stolen black Volvo CX90 with licence plate PHENIX88 that was used in an armed robbery at a Circle K convenience store in Milton on Jan. 9.
If you see this vehicle, police warn not to approach it and call 911 immediately.
Anyone with information that could help police with the investigation is asked to contact 905-825-4777, ext. 2416.
