Police lift shelter-in-place order near Centre on Barton after domestic dispute

Hamilton police have lifted a shelter-in-place order near the Centre on Barton following a domestic incident potentially involving a firearm.
Officers received a call around 9:15 a.m. regarding a domestic dispute between a man and woman.
While the man referenced having a gun in his possession, Const. Indy Bharaj could not confirm whether there is indeed a firearm as one has not been seen at this time.

Police told people in the area of 468 Ottawa St. North to shelter-in-place as officers investigated.
The order was lifted nearly two hours later and investigators have cleared the scene.
