Police continue to investigate a home invasion on Hamilton’s West Mountain, where two men were stabbed. It happened in a quiet upscale neighbourhood 10 minutes away from Mohawk College.

Detective David Brady says 4 to 5 people wearing masks, one possibly a woman, knocked on the front door just before 3 am. When the door was answered the attackers armed with knives shoved their way inside. Police are still trying to determine why the people living here were targeted.

The next door neighbour says 7 to 8 college students have been renting the three bedroom home.

One of the tenants living there came out this morning pushed our cameras aside but said that he didn’t hear anything and that it was in fact his roommate’s friend that was stabbed.

Police gathered forensic evidence and spoke with the people living in the house. With the information they’ve gathered they’re following up on a number of leads, but still no arrests have been made.

The 20 year old victim has been released from hospital, the 18 year old who was seriously hurt is still being treated.
