Police investigate Stoney Creek shooting at same residence as Feb. 1 incident
Police are investigating an early morning shooting in Stoney Creek that they say occurred at the same residence as a Feb. 1 shooting.
Multiple shots were fired just before 4 a.m. today in the area of Glover Road and Lakeshore Road. No injuries were no reported.
Investigators are asking residents or anyone driving in the area of Glover Road, Lakeshore Drive and Watershore Drive between 3:30 a.m. and 4 a.m. to check their surveillance cameras and dashcam footage for any video that may assist the investigation.
Hamilton Police Det. Sgt. Michelle Wiley said, “we believe this is a targeted event, it doesn’t diminish the fact that anytime a discharged firearm [is] in our community [it] is very concerning.”
“We are asking, pleading for citizens to come forward for public safety,” she said.
Police say they are examining any possible connection between the two shootings and that they believe both incidents were targeted.
