Police investigate armed robbery at St. Catharines pharmacy

Police are on the hunt for one suspect after a pharmacist was threatened with a handgun in a robbery in St. Catharines.
The pharmacy that was robbed is located on Scott St. between Niagara St. and Vine St.
Police say a male suspect approached a pharmacist and showed a handgun before demanding drugs and cash.
The suspect fled the scene on foot with a small amount of goods. The pharmacist reportedly did not sustain any physical injuries.
Police believe the suspect ran north toward the Regent Dr. area. Officers were assisted by the Canine Unit but were not able to find him.

The suspect is described as a White man, approximately 30-years-old, 6-foot, and 200 pounds.
He was last seen wearing a dark blue winter toque, a dark blue winter jacket, a black sweatshirt with white lettering, camouflage pants, and brown shoes.
Detectives ask residents and businesses to review their security camera footage and submit anything that is suspicious.
