Police investigate after Marineland holds shows amid animal cruelty charges

Niagara police are investigating following reports of Marineland holding sea animal shows during its opening weekend.
A video posted to TikTok – that has since been deleted – allegedly shows a dolphin performance at Marineland Saturday.
Animal Justice, Canada’s only national animal law advocacy organization, said they filed a complaint with Niagara police Tuesday.
Officers confirmed to CHCH that they are aware and the matter is under investigation.
Late last year, Niagara police laid one animal cruelty charge on the park over its use of whales and dolphins in shows after the park allegedly used them for “entertainment purposes.”
Marineland denies all allegations.
