Police in Niagara Falls make arrest in Portage Road investigation

Police have taken to social media to make the public aware of an investigation that took place in Niagara Falls on Friday.
According to officials, police were on scene at Portage Road near Front Street. Road closures were in effect for several hours.
Thus far, one person has been arrested. Officers say there are no suspects outstanding.
Niagara police asked residents to avoid the area while crews remained on scene, but say everything has been cleared.
