Police identify teen who drowned in Guelph Lake

Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) have identified a teen who died after drowning in Guelph Lake.
Police say on July 31, at around 6:15 p.m., they received a report of a swimmer in distress near the island in Guelph Lake at the Guelph Lake Conservation Area.
At around 7:30 p.m., the swimmer was located and was transported to a local hospital where they were pronounced deceased.
Police have identified the deceased as 14-year-old Hilal Ahmad Najeebi, of Mississauga.
