The 60-year-old man who died after being hit by a car in Niagara Falls on Friday night has been identified as Larry Hurst.

Niagara Police say a 22-year-old was driving when their car struck and killed him while he was crossing Lundy’s Lane west of Kalar Road.

The Niagara Falls review says that QMI Agency Niagara was contacted by Oh Canada Eh? Dinner Show in Niagara Falls who confirmed that Hurst was one of their performers.

According to a Facebook page for the dinner show, Hurst was a part of the production for 20 years. Despite mourning the death of their co-worker, staff decided to go ahead with a Saturday show. The facebook group says, “It wasn’t an easy decision to go on with the show, but the power of music and laughter helped us forget the deep sadness we were all feeling leading up to showtime.”

The sign outside of the theatre has been changed to say “20 years of music, laughs, and larry.”
