Police hunt for wanted federal offender known to frequent Hamilton and Niagara Region

Provincial police are asking the public to keep an eye out for a wanted federal offender who recently breached a condition of their statutory release and is at large.

They say that 28-year-old Moises Medeiros has been known to frequent Toronto, Hamilton, St. Catharines and the Niagara Region.

Authorities described Medeiros as a Latin American man who stands at five-foot-seven, weighs 180 lbs and has brown hair and brown eyes. He often sports a dark, thin beard and has several distinctive tattoos, including:

  • back of his neck – hands holding jail bars
  • left side of his neck – “SNITCHES GET STITCHES”
  • right side of his neck – a star
  • right cheek – a teardrop and 3 dots
  • left cheek – upside down cross
  • left hand – a rose and “LOVE” on his fingers
  • right hand –  5 dots and “HATE” on his fingers
  • left forearm – “BROTHERHOOD” and the Grim Reaper
  • right forearm – a cross.

Authorities are asking anyone with information on Medeiros’ whereabouts to call officers with the province’s Repeat Offenders Parole Enforcement Squad by calling 416-808-5900.

Medeiros was originally serving a 2-year sentence for possession of a prohibited restricted firearm with ammunition.
