Police deem suspicious package found in Burlington intersection ‘not dangerous’

A major intersection in Burlington reopened Thursday evening following an hours-long police investigation into a suspicious package that was found on the roadway.
Halton police took to social media around 1 p.m. asking people to avoid the area of Dundas and Brant streets and to find alternate routes.
The service’s remote-controlled vehicle was brought in for the investigation.
Officers determined the suspicious package was not dangerous.
The intersection reopened around 5 p.m.
This intersection has reopened.
