Two shootings that took place within a half an hour of each other Wednesday evening are connected, Hamilton police say.

Officers first received reports of a shooting around 8:11 p.m. at the Chuck’s Roadhouse Bar and Grill located at 135 Upper Centennial Pkwy., formerly a Boston Pizza location.

Once on scene, police found evidence of gunfire. The restaurant was unoccupied at the time of the incident.

Witnesses to this first shooting are describing the suspect vehicle as a black Honda. They also identified the driver as a tanned man wearing a medical mask.

Shortly after the first reported shooting, another call came in to police at 8:28 p.m. detailing reports of shots fired at a home on Spring Valley Crescent near West 5th Street.

Officers dispatched to the area, where evidence of a shooting was confirmed.

There were two individuals at the residence during the incident, but police say no injuries were reported.

Witnesses describe the suspect vehicle as a dark grey Honda Civic with two men inside, and both were also wearing medical masks.

Hamilton police initially believed the two shootings were separate. But in an update Thursday afternoon, investigators say both incidents are connected and involve the same suspects.

Officials are asking anyone with information to contact them at 905-546-4925.

They are also urging the community to be on the lookout for a dark-coloured or grey, four-door Honda, with a driver wearing a medical mask.
