Police charge man for pointing gun at person at Oakville house party

A 20-year-old man is facing nearly a dozen firearm-related charges after he allegedly pointed a handgun and threatened someone at a house party in Oakville last November.

Halton police say the incident happened on Nov. 11 at a home near the intersection of Neyagawa Boulevard and Dundas Street West.

Officers say no one was injured.

Following an investigation, police carried out a search warrant Tuesday at a home in North York.

Halton police arrested and charged Timothywos Tesfaye of North York with 10 offences, including assault with a weapon and pointing a firearm.

A loaded 9mm handgun was also seized.

Tesfaye was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
