Police charge man, 27, in Hamilton City Centre stabbing

A 27-year-old man is facing several charges following a stabbing at the Hamilton City Centre Monday afternoon.

Police responded to the shopping mall on James St. North around 2:30 p.m. for reports of a person bleeding.

Officers found a 38-year-old man with two stab wounds. Paramedics originally reported that the man was suffering from “traumatic” injuries. Hamilton police confirmed Wednesday that he was then taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and underwent surgery.

On Tuesday, investigators arrested and charged Daniel Dolan with aggravated assault and robbery with intent.

Dolan was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday morning.
