Police charge man, 19, after shooting outside Brantford home

A 19-year-old man is facing multiple firearm-related charges following a shooting outside of a home in Brantford on Monday.
Officers responded to a report of gunshots heard around 1 p.m. in the area of Metcalfe Crescent between North Park St. and Debbie Crescent.
No victims have been reported at this time, police said.

Nearly two hours later, investigators arrested and charged the 19-year-old man in connection with the afternoon shooting.
Pedestrians and motorists were asked to avoid the area as police investigated. Local traffic was also rerouted and residents in the immediate area had to shelter-in-place.
Investigators are expected to remain at the scene Monday evening.
