Police charge man, 18, in April’s fatal shooting on Clifton Hill

Niagara police have arrested a second suspect in connection with a fatal shooting on Clifton Hill in April.
It happened on April 8 around 12:30 a.m. near the Great Canadian Midway.
The three people who were shot were all under the age of 18. Officers said one victim died on scene and paramedics transported two more victims to a local hospital. One was listed in critical condition and the other in stable condition.
Police said a blue Ford F-150 SuperCrew four-door pick-up truck with tinted windows, a tri-fold tonneau cover and a moonroof was seen speeding out of the area.
The truck had visible damage, a missing door handle and no front licence plate. Officers said it was last seen driving west on Lundy’s Lane toward the area of Montrose Road and Highway 420.
On July 19, a 17-year-old man from Mississauga was arrested. He was charged with multiple offences, including attempted murder, aggravated assault and robbery.
On Aug. 10, Niagara police arrested an 18-year-old man from Mississauga. He is facing six charges, including robbery and unauthorized possession of a firearm.
The man was scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.
