Police charge Hamilton man in fatal collision on Hwy. 403

A 32-year-old Hamilton man has been charged after an investigation into a fatal collision that happened in August in the eastbound lanes of Highway 403, near the Lincoln Alexander Parkway.

Members of the OPP Highway Safety Division shared an update on Twitter on Wednesday, saying a Hamilton man is facing a charge of careless driving causing death.

At the time of the collision in August, police said the driver lost control and noted that the roads were wet. They mentioned that no alcohol was involved.

The passenger of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man from Hamilton, was pronounced dead following the crash.

The eastbound lanes of Highway 403 were closed at Lincoln Alexander Parkway as police investigated and crews repaired the guard rail.
