Police charge 3 teens after fight, stabbing at Oakville high school

Halton police arrested and charged three teenage boys after a fight broke out at an Oakville high school Wednesday that resulted in a stabbing.

Officers say the altercation happened around 4 p.m. inside of Garth Webb Secondary School.

Upon arrival, police found two of the boys suffering from stab wounds and the other boy with a nose bleed.

All of the victims were taken to hospital with serious injuries, officers say.

The high school was placed into lockdown as officers cleared the building, however, no other schools went into a lockdown.

Investigators say four suspects have been identified in connection with this incident.

A 15-year-old boy from Oakville was arrested and charged with assault, but has since been released.

A 17-year-old boy from Oakville was arrested shortly after the incident in the area of Merchants Gate and Third Line. He was put through Youth Diversion for an assault charge.

Another 15-year-old boy from Oakville was found around 12:30 a.m. Thursday in the area of Merchants Gate and Third Line. He was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and two counts of assault cause bodily harm, among others.

Investigators are still looking for a 19-year-old Oakville boy. He is wanted for five separate charges, including two counts of assault with a weapon.

Halton police say all three victims have been treated and released from hospital at this time.
