Police bust complex crime network
(update) The RCMP and Hamilton police have laid multiple charges against eight people from the Hamilton area in connection with what police call a complex criminal network with roots in the drug trade.
Investigators allege that 36-year old Danyal Ikram and 34-year old Fahd Ikram of Ancaster, along with their associates, 40-year old James Donnelly and 42-year old Robert Skojo of Hamilton are key players in Hamilton’s cocaine supply and distribution chain. They also say their investigation uncovered evidence of criminal activity ranging from fraud and property crimes to extortion. Two others from Hamilton, one from Stoney Creek and another from Glanbrook, have also been charged in connection with the investigation. All are scheduled to appear in Hamilton provincial court in June.
