Police arrest three teens after sunglasses theft at Lime Ridge Mall

Hamilton police have arrested three 15-year-old males after more than $1,000 worth of sunglasses were stolen from a Lime Ridge Mall store.

Around 4 p.m. on Monday, police were called to a shop located in Lime Ridge Mall for a reported theft.

The owners of the store said two males fled the scene on foot after stealing three pairs of high-end sunglasses, worth a total of $1,500.

Police quickly located and arrested the pair, along with a third male.

Officers searched their belongings and discovered two bottles of bear spray, in addition to the stolen sunglasses.

The three teens were charged with theft under $5,000, possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000, and possession of a prohibited device.
