Police arrest Etobicoke man after stolen truck investigation in Oakville

The Halton Regional Police Service have arrested a man from Etobicoke following a stolen truck investigation in Oakville.
Officers were contacted on Tuesday around 8:30 a.m. after an Oakville resident discovered their Ford F-150 pickup missing from their driveway.
Police say they found the vacant truck parked in a commercial lot in Etobicoke through the use of a GPS device in the vehicle.
The suspect returned and entered the vehicle. When officers tried to arrest him, he drove the truck into police vehicles and struck four officers.
Police then stopped the stolen vehicle with a tire deflation device.

No injuries were sustained to any officers or the suspect. Police say two knives were found on the suspect at the time of his arrest.
Ryan Nesbitt, 26, of Etobicoke was arrested and has been charged with nine offences including possession of stolen property obtained by crime, four counts of assault with a weapon and flight from police officer.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing in Milton.
