Police appeal to public in homicide of Oakville business owner

Halton police are asking for the public’s help in the suspicious death of an Oakville business owner that has been deemed a homicide.

Baljeet ‘Bally’ Toki, 43, was found dead inside of his business, Montagio Custom Tailoring, on Lakeshore Road on Saturday.

The Major Crime Bureau is leading the investigation into Mr. Toki’s death and police officers are canvassing the area for witnesses and surveillance video between 10 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. Saturday. They are seeking footage from the area between Trafalgar Road and Navy Street, north of William Street and south of Randall Street.

Anyone who was driving on Trafalgar Road between Lakeshore Road and Dundas Street during this time and has dashcam video is asked to contact police at 905-825-4776. Tips can also be submitted anonymously to Crime Stoppers of Hamilton.

Police say there is no known threat to public safety.
