Toronto Police say they searched a Wainfleet home last week for the body of a Mississauga man.

Shawn Kapadia, 21, was last seen July 5th. Investigators believe he was murdered at a residence on Foundry Ave in Toronto — and they were eventually led to the home on O’Reilly Rd S in Wainfleet.

Detective Dave Dickinson told reporters that Shawn’s body has not yet been found. “On the weekend of July 11th, an older model John Deere backhoe was observed attending the O’Reilly address in Wainfleet. This backhoe was observed leaving the address on July 12th in the afternoon, carrying a large block of concrete in the front bucket. This backhoe was seen last driving on Broadway Ave in Welland.”

Police say they searched the entire property as part of the investigation. They believe charges will be laid soon, but did not provide information on any suspects.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Toronto Police at 416-808-7400, extension 77418 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477 (TIPS).
