Our Prime Minister is once again getting attention around the world, but this time it’s because he’s being accused of manhandling a member of Parliament and elbowing another in the chest. In the video Justin Trudeau crosses the floor toward Conservative Whip Gordon Brown, pushing past NDP MP Ruth Ellen Brosseau. As Trudeau pulled the Conservative Whip through the crowd, he turned and Brosseau says she was elbowed in the chest.

Trudeau says he was trying to get a vote on assisted suicide started. Brosseau said she could not vote. The Speaker concluded there is a possible case that Brosseau’s privileges as an MP had been breached.

An all-party committee will now look into the matter, and Trudeau later made several apologies.

“I did not pay attention to my surroundings as a result I made physical contact with the member from Berthier-Maskinongé something I regret profoundly for which I apologize unreservedly and which should not have happened.”
