Plane crash report
A new report out by the transportation safety board says mechanical failure was the cause of a plane crash that happened at a Markham toy factory last year.
In its investigation, the board points to a failure and separation of one of the plane’s cylinder heads from its cylinder during takeoff resulting in reduced power and the stall and spin, as causes and contributing factors of the crash.
54 year old pilot Paul Jess of Burlington and passenger 50 year old Nancy Noakes of Milton, died after their four seat Cirrus SR-20 crashed into the roof of the Thinkway Toys factory.
