Lead investigator in Pistorius murder case has legal problems of his own.
As Oscar Pistorius returned to court in Pretoria to seek bail, the senstation murder case has taken a new twist.

Police say the lead investigator is facing seven counts of attempted murder stemming from incident four years ago.

Hilton Botha and several other officers, allegedly drunk, were accused of firing at a minibus they were chasing in late 2009.

They were arrested on seven counts of attempted murder; one for each occupant in the minibus plus charged with using firearms under the influence.

They appeared in court.

The charges were withdrawn.

However, the charges were reinstated yesterday and the prosecution plans to move ahead on the charges later this year.

As for Pistorius, still no ruling on his bail request.
