Pink Feather Promise Society marches for change

The Pink Feather Promise Society marched in Brantford to commemorate International Women’s Day Sunday.

The aim was to spread awareness for missing and murdered indigenous women.

Ashley Lickers from the pink feather society says the project hopes to raise money to provide financial assistance to these women’s children.

According to an RCMP survey there are nearly 1,200 missing and murdered indigenous women in Canada and over 200 unresolved cases as of November 2013.
