Pickering girl, 5, seriously injured in collision

A five-year-old Pickering girl is in serious condition after being involved in a collision in Whitby.
It happened around 5: 30 p.m. on Taunton Rd. near Thickson Rd. on Sunday.
Police say a grey Pontiac G5 was driving westbound when it collided with a white Mercedes SUV, which was also driving westbound.
The young girl was one of five passengers in the G5 and was air-lifted to a Toronto trauma hospital in serious but stable condition. The 58-year-old driver and three other passengers were all taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The driver of the Mercedes, a 56-year-old man, was also taken to hospital with minor injuries.
