Hamilton police are searching for two armed men who robbed a Hamilton Mountain pharmacy early Monday morning.

Police say the men had their faces covered when they entered the Shoppers Drug Mart on Mud St. West around 2 a.m.

Both men were armed with weapons and began demanding prescription drugs. They ordered the staff to the ground and obtained an undisclosed amount of drugs before fleeing the area.

The victims did not suffer any physical injuries during the robbery.

Police describe the first suspect as five-foot-nine, brown skin, dark coloured eyes, medium build, and roughly 30 to 35 years old. He was wearing black pants, dark shoes, a black hoodie, a black baseball cap, a dark coloured balaclava and black gloves.

The second man is described as five-foot-ten with a tall build. He was wearing jeans, a light coloured long sleeve shirt, a toque and dark gloves.

Earlier this month, roughly $20,000 of Lululemon merchandise was stolen from a local yoga studio in the same plaza.

The robbery at Moksha Yoga was caught on surveillance video and shows one of the thieves using a yellow hammer to smash the glass door to gain entry into the building.

The suspects in that robbery also had their faces covered during the break-in.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Hamilton police.
