Pharmacy employee assaulted during robbery in Milton, teen charged

A teenage boy has been arrested and police are looking for two other people after an employee was assaulted during a robbery at a pharmacy in Milton.

Officers were called to a business in the area of Leger Way and Britannia Rd. around 7:25 p.m. on January 10.

Police say two suspects entered the pharmacy and stole narcotics. One of the thieves assaulted a worker during the incident but the victim was not injured.

The duo fled the scene with a third suspect who was waiting in a vehicle that had been previously reported stolen in Durham Region on January 5.

Investigators determined the same suspects were responsible for a similar robbery at a pharmacy earlier in the day in the area of Coronation Boulevard and Island View in Cambridge.

The stolen vehicle was recovered last month Brampton.

On March 8, officers executed a search warrant at a home in Mississagua and arrested a 16-year-old Brantford boy.

He has been charged with two counts each of robbery and disguise with intent. The teen also faces one count of possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000.

Police are still trying to identify the other two people involved in the robberies.
