Keeping your pet safe this Halloween

The Halloween pet costume industry is booming. More than 30 million people will dress up their four-legged friends this year, and spend nearly a half a billion dollars doing it.
The pet costume industry is expected to bring in more than 480 million dollars this year.
Only about 20% of the population dresses up their pets for Halloween. Anything from Donald Duck, an adorable witch, to a bumble bee.
But not every pet likes to be in costume.
Aside from hating their costumes, Halloween can be scary for your pet. The SPCA says most dogs will be spooked tonight.
While human kids love the candy on Halloween, it could actually kill your fur baby.
Experts say if you are taking your pet trick or treating, make sure they’re well lit, and on a short leash.
