Permit issue puts waterfall platform work on hold

Work on building a viewing platform for the west Chedoke cluster of waterfalls has been delayed because of permit issues.

Hamilton city workers were supposed to start working on the platform today. The platform will be built at West 31st street and Scenic Drive, near the Chedoke escarpment stairs.

The work is now expected to start later this week, and should be ready in six weeks. Once the work gets underway, an alternate route for pedestrians will be clearly marked.
