Pembroke, ON priest charged with sexual assault

A 72-year old Catholic priest from Pembroke, Ontario has been charged in connection with a decades-old alleged sexual assault. OPP say the assault allegedly happened in 1985 in Pembroke.

Father Howard Chebot has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of gross indecency.

Police say he’s now retired and will be in court on September 3rd.
