Peel officers face charges

Four police officers in Peel Region are facing charges in a fight that investigators say left a 62-year-old man various injuries.

Police say the officers were off duty when they got into an altercation with another patron at a banquet hall in Brampton on November 30th.
Sgt. Bernard Webber, Const. Darren Barden and Const. Lance Kerec are all charged with assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement.
Staff Sgt. Doug Schulz is charged with being a party to assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement. The man suffered a fractured nose, minor scrapes and bruises as a result of the incident. The officers have been suspended without pay since the incident. They are due in court
April 29th.
