Pedestrian woman struck by vehicle near Hwy 401 west of Milton

OPP say a 21-year-old woman from Milton was struck by a vehicle while she was trying to cross Highway 401 at Tremaine Road Wednesday night.

The OPP Highway Safety Division posted on X just after midnight Thursday saying that the woman was a 22-year-old companion were attempting to cross the road at around 7:40 p.m. in the westbound lanes.

Pedestrian struck: 21-year-old from Milton struck after she and a 22-year-old companion were attempting to cross #Hwy401/Tremain Rd in the WB lanes at approx 7:40pm. Any witnesses are asked to call #MississaugaOPP 905-858-8670 ^ks

The condition of the woman and her companion is unknown at this time.
