Pedestrian struck by GO train near Wyecroft Road in Oakville

Rail service at the Bronte GO station was reduced to one track for five hours early Monday morning as police investigated the death of a pedestrian who was struck by an eastbound GO train.
Halton police were called around 12:10 a.m., when a man was hit by a passenger train near the Bronte GO Station on Wyecroft Road in Oakville.
The Collision Reconstruction Unit took over the investigation.
Through the use of CCTV footage, they determined the collision was not suspicious.
The train was held for about two hours before being put back into service.
Police say the tracks at the scene have been reopened and regular train service has resumed.
