Pedestrian struck and killed in Hamilton

Hamilton police are asking the driver of a white pick-up truck to call them, after a woman was struck and killed by a car early this morning.

42 year old Doreen Baptiste was hit on Sherman Avenue around 5:30.

Hamilton police say the truck was northbound on Sherman in the middle lane just north of Barton Street, and may have swerved to avoid striking Baptise.

She was struck moments later by a vehicle in the curb lane.
