Pedestrian struck and killed by GO train

Train service on the Lakeshore West GO Transit line was shut down for almost two hours after a pedestrian was struck and killed by a GO train during rush hour. The incident caused delays of up to 20 minutes while the investigation took place. GO buses shuttled commuters who were left stranded on train platforms between Oakville and Burlington stations until full service was resumed just before six o’clock.
