Pedestrian killed

Airport Road has re-opened following a fatal collision involving a pedestrian last night.

A witness says he saw an older man trying to cross on a red light being struck by a transport truck.

It happened just before 9:30 between Victory Crescent and Morning Star Drive in north Mississauga, near Pearson Airport.

Police say the truck driver is cooperating with their investigation.  Witnesses are asked to contact police.

The name of the victim has not been released.
