15-year-old boy in critical condition following an overnight collision

Hamilton police says it is investigating an overnight collision involving a vehicle and a pedestrian.

On Sunday, April 24, shortly after 11:00 p.m., police say a 15-year-old Hamilton male was crossing Queenston Road at Nash Road when he was struck by a 2006 Dodge Ram vehicle. Police say it was being driven by a 79-year-old Hamilton man.

The 15-year-old was taken to McMaster’s Children’s Hospital in critical condition.

Police say the driver remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. Speed and driver impairment have been ruled out as contributing factors.
