Pay-by-Phone parking has arrived in Hamilton

It just got easier to pay for parking in the city of Hamilton.

Following council direction the new “pay-by-phone” parking app allows you to pay, track and extend your parking anytime, on all on-street parking meters and municipal parking lots in Hamilton right from your smartphone.

You can download the new passport parking app from the Apple Store or Google play store to create your account.

Beginning Monday, parking fees will increase from $1.50 to $2.00 per hour. In addition, the temporary 30-minute free on-street parking will be removed and enforcement of all meters will return to normal operations.

Payment by coin or credit at meters will remain available.
