The Ontario Legislature is back in session, and for the Progressive Conservatives, it means a new leader is in the house. Before this, Patrick Brown was a backbencher in Ottawa. Brown announced that his priorities in the legislature would be threefold: getting a labour deal with teachers, job growth, and stopping the sale of Hydro One.

The NDP also renewed their criticism of the Hydro sale and the Premier said, “we need the money.” Andrea Horwath said she was circumspect about Patrick Brown’s apparent support of her policies. She said we haven’t heard much of him, but she says the Conservative Party has always been in favour of privatization.
