Passport to Ontario’s heritage
Attractions Ontario is trying to make it easier to navigate the province’s many cultural destinations.
A new culture and heritage passport has been launched with the help of the Ontario government. It’s an 80-page publication that features information on everything from museums and wineries to coupons that will help cut down on costs during visits.
Tourism and culture minister Michael Chan was on hand at Hamilton’s Dundurn Castle, to talk about what this new passport will offer.
“An annual publication, that will serve as a road map to our historical attractions, guiding Ontarians and visitors alike along the path, and chart a course to our present day.”
The passport hopes to build on the success of Attractions Ontario’s annual summer coupon book, which contributed over 100-million dollars to the provincial economy in 2010.
