UPDATE: Mohawk Rd. reopens after hours-long closure for barricaded person

A section of Mohawk Rd. W reopened Wednesday afternoon, after being closed all morning because of a person barricaded inside a home.

Police provided an update around noon, saying “the situation has come to a resolution.”

Mohawk Rd. W was closed between Rice Ave. and Upper Paradise Rd. around 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

Police said it was a “contained situation” and there was no risk to the public.
