Part of Fruitland Road in Hamilton closed until Friday for sewer repairs

The City of Hamilton is shutting down a portion of Fruitland Road for two days to complete sewer repairs.

It begins at 7 a.m. on Thursday between Highway 8 and Barton St.

Crews are expected to be finished by 6 p.m. on Friday.

The city says HSR will not be impacted by the closure and businesses in the area will remain open.

Drivers should give themselves extra time to get around and plan alternate routes.
