Parkway body now murder investigation

A body found on the Red Hill Valley Parkway is now Hamilton’s fourth homicide of 2011.

The victim – a man in his 20’s was found just before 7:30 this morning, in the centre median between King and Greenhill. Police won’t comment on how the man died, and they’re asking anyone with information to give them a call, at

The Red Hill Valley Parkway is closed in both directions from King to Dartnall, and is expected to stay closed into the early evening. Drivers are being asked to avoid the area.
