Parking Bylaw Complaint

The City of St. Catharines is using a viral video to help train parking enforcement officers.

Over the weekend a man used his cell phone to record an officer parking in a handicapped spot in order to issue a ticket to someone else illegally parked in a handicapped spot, he’s since learned that’s not OK.

Chris Bobro had just left the bank when he saw something he had to record.
“I couldn’t believe it, there was parking enforcement parked in the handicapped spot, writing a ticket for being parked in the handicapped spot and because he’s parking enforcement he thinks he can get away with that.”

Bobro has a valid permit to use the handicapped spaces, he is recovering from a fall off a roof and from being hit by a drunk driver. After he posted his video online other people shared it, including the mayor and the city of St. Catharines and officials responded quickly.
