Parents stepping up

Updated Some parents are starting to take action to make sure students aren’t caught in the squeeze between elementary public school teachers and the provincial Liberals.

Like some other public elementary schools, teachers at Sir William Osler in Dundas cancelled extra-curricular activities to protest the Liberal bill that froze their wages. That means SWO students couldn’t participate in today’s cross country meet. But some parents decided to step up, and bring their kids to the race anyway – even though their participation wouldn’t be recognized.
